Benefits:
Stripex™ has been proven to effectively remove semi-transparent stains and solid colours as well as gray weathered wood, mold, mildew, tannin bleeding and water stains. The water-based formula will not harm surrounding vegetation (if pre-wetted) and is easily cleaned up.
Wood surface must be dry and above 10°C (50°F). Prewet surrounding vegetation with water.
Residue from rinsing will not harm plants.
Apply liberally with a synthetic brush or roller.
Do not allow to dry on wood. If product dries, mist lightly with water or re-apply Stripex™.
Wait approximately 5 to 45 minutes for Stripex™ to soften the coating. The coating should easily rinse off when ready.
Agitate where required with a synthetic scrub brush. Rinse in direction of wood grain with a garden hose or pressure washer at low setting (500-1200 PSI) to reduce scrubbing.
If brightening is required, use Simple Wash™ prior to applying Stain Prep™. Wood can be protected the same day using damp wood friendly Natural Deck Oil™.
Stripex™ will strip most semi-transparent oil based wood-stains.
For thick, or pigmented stains use Stripex™-L and for paints use RemovALL™ 220 or 320.
Heavily weathered wood surfaces may look fibrous after rinsing Stripex™. Immediately brushing along the wood grain helps remove the loose fiber.
Wood rich in tannin may darken during restoration. If additional brightening is required use Simple Wash™ or Industrial Blonding Agent™.
Stain Prep™ should be used to balance the pH of the wood surface before re-coating. The result will be a longer lasting, even and natural looking finish.
Dispose of remaining product in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
