RemovALL™ 820 effectively removes all types of rust, whether light surface rust or deep seated blooms.
The end results produced with RemovALL™ are the same as those achieved by the harsh and dangerous chemicals presently used by industry.
The residue is easily removed by water rinsing and the surface is ready for a new coating. New coatings exhibited no reduction of adhesion under standard adhesion pull tests.
If allowed to air dry, the product will protect the surface from re-rusting for extended periods of time.
Cost effective because:
Reduces man hours and effort required to complete a project re-coating.
These products are suitable for treating vertical and horizontal surfaces.
Some applications include:
Use RemovALL™ 820 - a gel that can be applied by brush, roller or spray equipment.
Use RemovALL™ 820 to brush on.
Ambient and surface temperatures should be in the range of 20 to 32°C (68 to 89°F). The product performs effectively at lower temperatures, but the dwell time increases.
Ensure that all areas not to be cleaned are suitably protected.
The product should not be diluted and does not need any mixing before application. Do not pre-wash the surface to be cleaned before application of RemovALL™.
Always prepare a test area prior to full application. This will indicate the time required for project completion and suitability of product for the substrate.
Apply a thin layer of RemovALL™ 820 by brush, roller or a rag to fully cover the rusted surface.
A brush or a roller can be utilized for application over small areas.
Larger areas require a small hand pump, weed sprayer or conventional spray equipment capable of producing a fine atomized spray.
The time required to remove the rust depends on the type of rust and depth of penetration. Most rust will be cleaned within 10 to 15 minutes.
Rinse or wipe the product off as soon as an adequate cleaning has been achieved.
Depending on the substrate, the coverage rate for RemovALL™ 820 normally falls between 100 to 250 sq.ft./US Gal. (2.5 to 6 sq.m/L).
If rust removal is the objective, removal can be accomplished by washing with running tap water at normal pressure.
If rust inhibition is desired, the residue should be allowed to air dry or wiped off with a cotton cloth. If the product is washed off, the substrate will be suceptible to immediate flash rusting again.
As with any cleaning compound, it is advisable to check the pH of the steel before re-coating to ensure that it is compatible with the new coating system to be applied.
Proper safety procedures should be followed at all times while handling the product.
Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for important health and safety information before use.
