This is a very good stain. After trying many different stains over the last 20 years or so, I will not be looking for a better one. I prefer wipe on stains and this one does the trick. This product went on smoothly without leaving blotching effects, without a pre stain penetrator. The best part is that it has little to no smell. No more open shop doors or masks.

though color lacks the vibrancy of an oil base stain. I stain and finish many fiberglass and metal doors. This product WILL NOT WORK for that..it will not dry. The solvent-based Jel'd Stain is the real deal for that purpose...it can be applied and dry brushed to even it out...let dry, overcoated thrice...done. I don't care for water-borne products where the true beauty of the wood is of concern. Use the water stuff on the insides of the cabinets/drawers for fast turnaround. All of the Woodkote products are not cheap...but VERY HIGH QUALITY...and that's what matters to me. Thanks.
