  1. GREAT STAIN 4 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Feb 2021

Remodeled kitchen in 2004 and Danish Walnut i ordered in March of 2021 matched these cabinets perfectly. I changed doors and trim and it looks as though they and the cabinets were stained at the same time.

We have been using the Jel'd line of stains for years with great success. Each application is unique but the vast color selection allows us to match both new and aged finishes for touch ups with great success as well as applying new finish to raw wood.

  3. Long term user of Wood Kote Jel'd stain 4 Star Review

I have been using the Wood Kote Jel'd stain for the past 20 years. We have cherry veneer kitchen cabinets and other case goods in our home. The cherry stain is true to a classic aged cherry tone. I pair the stain with a finish of the classic Sam Maloof mixture -2 coats ( 30/30/30 linseed oil, varathane, thinner) Final coat 50/50 linseed oil, beeswax. The final mixture warmed to a creamy consistency. The look and feel is soft and aged.

  5. Dependable results 4 Star Review

I have been using this product for many years and will not substitute another product. It would be nice if it could be found in a local store as it was when I first fell in love with it about twenty years ago.

  6. Easy to use 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Nov 2016

This is a great product. Our contractor used it to stain our doors when we did a remodel. It was so easy to use that I, a non-handy type of fellow, used it to stain the refinished paneling in my dining room. Turned out great. This is my third time ordering the product and I intend to personally stain three more barn doors.

I used this stain(color) 20 years ago when we built the house. Refinishing new moulding for an addition and the new stain matches perfectly 20 years later.

i used this product 19 yrs ago on my wood windows and fiberglass door. its just the best product with even application and control of it on the fiberglass door. i did learn that its best to not strip a fiberglass door. i rather light sand with a soft scotch brite pad and then reapply the stain. fiberglass is not easy to strip for me. its better to keep up on it every few years. product never disappoints me. plus it has a long shelf life if kept inside the house .

  10. Excellent product! 5 Star Review

Much better way to stain wood rather than those drippy liquid stains. Have used this product for many years with excellent results.
