Jel’d Poly Kote 250 is intended for professional use only. It is formulated for interior wood surfaces especially those surfaces that are not subject to heavy wear or that would be difficult to coat with conventional products. Examples are ceilings, bookshelves, banisters and paneling. It has low build and low odor. Jel’d Poly Kote 250 may be applied to bare, bleached or stained wood. It is compatible with a variety of other Wood Kote products. Please refer to the Wood Kote Schedule of Product Compatibility and Recommended Dry Times. Jel’d Poly Kote 250 complies with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emission requirements for Architectural and Industrial Maintenance coatings (effective 13Sep99). Jel’d Poly Kote 250 complies with California SCAQMD Rule 1113 (effective 30Jun06).

Coverage

One application of Jel’d Poly Kote 250 will cover approximately 1200- 1500 sq ft/gal (29,4-36,8 m2/L). For best results, 6-12 coats are recommended.

Composition & Properties

Jel’d Poly Kote 250 is a gelatinous wipe-on polyurethane formulated with polyurethane and alkyd resins. It is intended for application without thinning. If thinning is desired, PolySolvent (mineral spirits) should be used or, if regulations require a VOC-exempt thinner, use AceThin (acetone) or OxyThin (p-Chloro-a,a,a Trifluorotoluene).
