Basic Use

KatLaq 680A is a nitrocellulose based lacquer formulated for interior wood surfaces such as casework, doors, trim, paneling and cabinets. KatLaq 680A may be applied to bare, bleached or stained wood. It is compatible with a variety of other Wood Kote products. Please refer to the Wood Kote Schedule of Product Compatibility and Recommended Dry Times. When properly applied over KatLaq 680A Vinyl Sealer, the finish meets or surpasses all KCMA tests for wood cabinets. KatLaq 680A complies with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emission requirements for Architectural and Industrial Maintenance coatings (effective 13Sep99).

Coverage

One application of KatLaq 680A will cover approximately 250-300 sq ft/gal (6,1-7,4 m2/L). For best results, 3–6 coats are recommended.

Composition & Properties

KatLaq 680A is a nitrocellulose-based lacquer. It is intended for application without thinning. If thinning is desired, LaqThin T-99A (lacquer thinner) should be used or, if regulations require a VOC-exempt thinner, use AceThin (acetone).
