Basic Use-

SprayLaq 680A Base Kote is formulated as a first coat to seal interior wood surfaces and other interior surfaces that are compatible with lacquer in preparation for subsequent application(s) of opaque lacquer such as SprayLaq 680A white lacquer. SprayLaq 680A Base Kote may be applied to bare wood and is compatible with other Wood Kote products. Please refer to the Wood Kote Schedule of Product Compatibility and Recommended Dry Times. SprayLaq 680A Base Kote complies with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emission requirements for Architectural and Industrial Maintenance coatings (effective 13Sep99).

One application of SprayLaq 680A Base Kote will cover approximately 250-300sq ft/gal (6,1-7,4m2/L).

Composition & Properties-

SprayLaq 680A Base Kote is a flatpigmented nitrocellulose-based lacquer. It is intended for application without thinning. If thinning is desired, LaqThin T-99A (lacquer thinner) should be used or, if regulations require a VOC-exempt thinner, use AceThin (acetone).
